OpenAI subscriptions and usage are not included. Internet is required for activation and licence verification before starting work. Optional CRM preference synchronization requires a separate CRM account.

Install your workspace.

Download the Windows installer and follow its setup steps. Codex Desktop installs for your Windows user and includes its .NET runtime.

Windows x64. Install the official Codex CLI or VS Code Codex extension separately. The application discovers its backend or lets you select it in Settings.

Activate this computer.
Keep control of your licence.

Your purchase, subscription and activated computers are managed by the IMAVELA Corporate CRM. Use your IMAVELA customer account to approve each computer.

In Codex Desktop, open Settings and choose Activate this computer. Follow the approval link provided by the application, sign in to your IMAVELA account, and approve an available device slot.

IMAVELA commercial activation, OpenAI sign-in and optional CRM preference synchronization are three separate connections.

    Choose a subscription.

    Complete your order through the shared IMAVELA checkout. The licence becomes available after payment is confirmed.

  2. 02

    Approve your computer.

    Start activation from the app, then approve the short-lived request in your customer account. Pending requests do not unlock the application.

  3. 03

    Manage your five slots.

    Use Deactivate in Settings to release a computer. Your licence administrator can also revoke a device in the CRM.

BEFORE YOU START

A few useful details.

Is this an official OpenAI application?

No. This is an independent IMAVELA Windows client using the installed Codex app-server. Your OpenAI account and usage remain separate from your IMAVELA software subscription.

Will it produce the same answers as VS Code or ChatGPT?

It uses your installed Codex engine, but identical answers are not guaranteed. VS Code's open editor buffers and selections are not automatically available here. Reference files and provide the context your task needs.

Does it include every ChatGPT feature?

No. Features that depend on a private host, such as some browser and computer integrations, proprietary app connectors, interactive visualizations or voice, are not recreated. Available models, tools and speed tiers depend on your installed backend and account.

What synchronizes between computers?

When you connect the same CRM user, supported preferences include sidebar width and model, effort and speed defaults. Credentials, project paths, full-access permissions and conversations are not synchronized by the CRM preference service.

How do I move to another computer?

Deactivate the old computer in Settings to release its slot. Install the app on the replacement and request activation. Closing the app does not release a device slot.
